1. Information We Collect

Pheno collects information you provide directly (name, email address, product name) and information derived from your connected data sources (behavioral signals, usage events). All data is processed on your behalf and remains yours.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to generate user personas, detect behavioral patterns, propose growth strategies, and provide product analytics. We do not sell your data or your users' data to third parties under any circumstances.

3. Data Sources

When you connect a data source (such as PostHog, Amplitude, or Snowflake), Pheno reads behavioral event data via your API credentials. Credentials are stored encrypted and are used exclusively to sync data on your behalf.

4. Anonymization

All user data ingested from your connected sources is anonymized by default before analysis. Personally identifiable information (email, name) is only stored when explicitly provided or synced, and is never used for Pheno's own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deleted data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

6. Security

Pheno is SOC-2 Type I certified and HIPAA compliant. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access controls and audit logging are in place for all infrastructure.

7. Cookies

We use minimal, essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use PostHog for product analytics on our own platform — this is separate from the PostHog data you may sync as a source.

8. Contact

For privacy questions or data deletion requests, contact us at privacy@usepheno.com.
